AI is like any other extremely powerful technology (nuclear fission / fusion, drugs, social media algorithms, etc) — it can be used for good or for bad, depending on who’s managing it and who has access to it unsupervised and/or in the shadows.

I heard this quote from author Robert Greene:

More harm is caused in this world by stupid incompetent people than by evil people

Yes people will use it to get only money and power, but even more people will screw up the use of AI and manage to BOTH put people out of jobs, and degrade services and hurt people.
