I’m a pilot, and i can assert that flying a real plane is so much different then a simple desktop flight simulator, especially because of the lack of pressure and feel on the yoke, trim control, and response to changing the throttle settings. Not to mention wind!

And I’ve given the yoke to both men and women who were not pilots (when we had at least 3000 feet between us and the group). Women were MUCH better at getting started. Men jerked the plane around up and down trying to muscle it around, whereas women nudge the plane a bit and wait for the response, to fly it with more of a gentle intuitive feel…the way you’re supposed to fly.

I’ve also recently hired a few women to support my work as head of cybersecurity for a public company. They are SO MUCH more diligent and consider how decisions affect all the various issues. Men typically do the minimum to look good and not only totally ignore so many considerations, they outright fight you on it.
