And now that people typically view your social media profiles and not your website, there is no easy way to maintain material that stays at the top for newcomers who want to understand who/what you are — eg background story. (You can only pin just a Facebook post for some time).

The essence of who / what you are doesn’t change every week! The feeds are inconsistent with the nature of discovering interesting new people and organizations. It would nice to have a combination of detailed background plus the latest posts, but everything is designed to, and we are conditioned to only consume the latest. Sigh…
