As a cybersecurity professional I can assert that the vast majority of people into the tech of crypto are such geeks they are constitutionally incapable of thinking about anything other than their love or focus on the tech itself. Even those who don’t understand the tech worship it too and can’t think about the complex ecosystem which is harder to understand than the basic concept of the tech itself.

As a result they’re bad at manage any kind of investment in it or protecting against hackers. Some get lucky and make lots of money of course. Trying to talk about the ecosystem with such folks is usually a waste of time.
