Based on my biomedical engineering background applying electronics to nerve cells, it seems to me the complexity of a real nervous system is that it seems like almost every ATOM is part of the system. (Eg integration of ions in a nerve cell), it’s like a wave of consciousness.

You can’t simulate that in a digital computer.
