China is drooling over getting Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturing (70% - 90% of the worlds capacity). This is part of Xi’s plan (consolidating power). That people need to build up immunity to Covid (via vaccines followed by exposure to the virus) is totally irrelevant to his agenda…maybe he figures stealing Taiwanese manufacturing will compensate.
