During the pandemic my company couldn’t do something as simple as figuring out that people needed large monitors for using their laptops at home and / or setting up sharing for using their home computers. “That’s not how we normally do things” was their response. Wow how stupid do you need to be to have that kind of response. Yet this is most typical for companys’ response to the pandemic. Corporate culture simply is not conducive to changing behavior in any way. I’ve worked for many companies that keep stressing innovation, even formally making it a management objective and then when one even suggests to discuss a possible innovation, one is typically shot down and very often humiliated, probably to make sure people don’t ever do that again. This is normal corporate behavior.

So if they consistently can’t do the simplest things that an idiot would understand, how can they be expected to do ANYTHING innovative? The winners will always be the new and upcoming players / companies. It’s almost a law of physics.
