That’s “education” make yourself look good while programming kids to be good worker bees and voters — to be malleable to manipulation by others by ensuring they’re not too smart or intuitive (you really don’t want to teach #3 or they would be harder to control). So eliminating #3 lets you achieve a lot of objectives.
