Great checklist. I’ve worked in both product management and engineering. I’m back in Engineering (architecture) because unfortunately for many companies, that’s where the power lies. And many more jobs. Sadly, most companies completely devalue the customer experience and one has to continuously fight to keep that perspective- tech companies geek out and that’s why they fail. Geeking out is a disease. If they acknowledge it at all, they pay lip service to it and don’t take it seriously. The best companies have the best product management culture, and that’s rare.
