Home ownership is not so much a financial choice as a lifestyle choice. If you want to remain flexible so you can move, probably forget the house. My lifestyle would have sucked if I kept my house. Some people want to own a house, spend time fixing it up, making it your own, stability for kids. Some don’t care about that stuff because like me, they have a very active lifestyle.

And I’m not even sure financially it’s beneficial. A lot of people who own homes can’t save any money or go out and do things. Sure you get a chunk of change when you sell, but net / net did you really come out ahead?

You have to want your own house to make it worthwhile
