I didn’t listen to the speech, because invariably these things preach to the choir (won’t change anybody’s) mind, and only serve to add fuel to the other side. You can essentially say the same thing by saying something positive, you can make blatant references to behaviors, tell stories, ie clever speech writing where you can be blunt but clever, classy, and maybe even a tiny bit humorous and charming.

Prob is I don’t think politicians like a Biden have any clue how to address these fundamental problems (the root causes for hating traditional politicians) because they’re weak enough to believe the BS given to them by their financial supporters. They’ve been up to their necks in stinky cow shit for most of their careers…they have no idea what true good nectar smells like. (I was a lobbyist)
