I enjoy kink because it is an alternative to regular romantic cis dating with is infected with disgusting norms (e.g. online dating BS, expectations of fake romance, fake clever lines, trying to act cool, etc) - it's agonizing and humiliating (in a bad way). Instead kink provides me an alternative, and power and excitement to thumb my nose at those disgusting norms, and helps helps me to stay away from those norms.
