I have been acutely aware of the absurdity of this since I was around 10 years old. Every single time I brought this up to men and woman, I was lambasted and humiliated for being weird. Even today as adult, people still mostly do the same with few exceptions. The brainwashing is so powerful.

I see no evidence this will ever change.

But thanks for bringing it up, at least I know I’m not alone.
