I have many acquaintances and friends who do this - post negative stuff from some random person of no significance. Just about single time I suggested that they should please just ignore such people and let their hatred die on the vine, they have refused. Reasons include they don’t think they’re doing anything wrong, these people need to be stopped, they’re bored, or they simply won’t admit they made a mistake (most common).

We can’t seen to change this. People are going to do this, and the social networks make money this way. I have no idea how we can stop this, but I do no logic won’t work, we’re just preaching to the choir.
