I love the vision but am sadly skeptical because of my own experience as an entrepreneur, activist, lobbyist, content producer, author, software engineer and architect, and tech marketing professional. There have been failed attempts (eg Diaspora). It’s very hard to stayed organized doing anything where people aren’t getting paid or don’t have a well funded sponsor. Also in those situations too many people want to “manage” or “strategize” or be the star or host, or be the creative person - most people do not want to put in all the other hard work.

I hope I’m wrong…time will tell. And it must be driven by the younger generation’s determination.
