I see trans as a manifestation of not putting people into a mainstream box. There are many variations of that as there are many variations of trans. Some trans women I know are fully “women” some are somewhere between male and female like me.

The most important thing trans people can do is be out there mingling with mainstream and showing joy and engagement without bringing attention to the issue. (If you’re lucky enough to be in a position to do that). Everybody, straight and trans will benefit and enjoy the experience . And in the process, you’ll naturally contribute to the advancement of trans rights. I’v even done this in the heart of the Mid West (going out with a Midwest straight friend of mine while visiting)
