I spent 6 months in Jerusalem on a spiritual quest. I met a lot of people, was exposed to many great concepts. This is the essence of what I learned at the end of my lifelong quest:

There are two types of people:
1) Cool people
2) Assholes

And your religion has absolutely nothing to do with this. It’s just something that is used by assholes as a most powerful tool.

And I discovered the most important antidote: A bullshit detector.


Assholes and weak people will band together with bullshit, even holy bullshit to satisfy their most important quest - power and ego satisfaction.

That’s the #1 most important lesson in religion. If you don’t understand and comes to terms with that, nothing else matters
