I think we need to create social media platforms that encourage more serious conversations. Medium is sort of an example of that mainly because the people who engage in medium tend to go in a little more detail on topics.

But how do we create such a general purpose platform that more people will use? It’s probably requires influencers and people positions of power to use such a platform. A tall order, but possible.
