I was a green energy lobbyist. This is absolutely true. People talked about saving the environment at cocktail parties but wouldn’t lift a finger or exercise a single neuron when it came to supporting the work we did. They had ZERO interest in the detail, too much work, they only wanted to talk about how they “cared”. It was humiliating being the only one actually doing any work. They wanted to talk over me about their beliefs and didn’t want to hear about the work and what they could do to help. I finally quit.
