I was an environmental lobbyist. Equally important is that too many of our regular citizens rather watch too much TV/videos, partake in pop culture gossip, or just casually post a few things or social media vs getting engaged in the democratic process by supporting activists or getting involved themselves.

People in power will not do a damned thing to curb their behavior unless the rest of get involved nor should they. What’s going on is collectively our own faults.
