I was an environmental lobbyist…the science, engineering, economics, and compromises we need to make are so complicated, it’s just about impossible to have an effective public dialog.

I hope Greta’s movement doesn’t go the way of Occupy Wall Street (Ie nowhere), so I hope we can find ways to combine her activism with science and politics. But it’s going to take sustained pushing from our Youth to keep this going. Our youth has tremendous marketing power, so it’s their responsibility to shift their focused from silly YouTube videos to something real and sustainable.
