I wasn’t sure if you were making a half joke, but I guess this is the point of the article. I think it will take another few decades or so to tell. China seems to be missing the entrepreneurial spirit (I was there for only two weeks, but I work in tech and interact with them a lot). But if we design more and they steal more, that maybe means they are well structured to be parasites, and such things need a host.
