I wonder if the political environment will ever allow rules to be put in place that requires platforms to always notify people if they are banned or restricted why, and allow an appeal. This is complex because where does an algorithm end and banning start. And who makes the appeal decisions.

Telecom companies can’t arbitrarily band people. Social media shouldn’t either.

First thing we an Congress that not only understands tech (tall order for the sleeze that goes into politics), but isn’t on the take. So will never happen unless we all band together and make them do it. (I was a lobbyist)
