I work in Tech as an architect. (I used to be. Software engineer, now they work for me). The biggest failure by tech is to do things backwards - designing the tech before understanding the use cases and workflow for the entire solution including all possible activities (eg resolving disputes). It’s such a common failure it’s pretty much en epidemic. It’s is SO difficult getting geeks to do things in the right order. They think the use cases and workflow are for marketing and documentation pansies. And there is nothing you can do to change their minds other than forcing them to do it. That’s why it’s so important to have strong management and architects.
