I would like to believe you, but who then is responsible? I would like to believe that democracy is the best form of government except for every other one that we tried. If Trump wins it just proves that democracy doesn’t work. Who else are you gonna blame? I don’t think it’s that Americans in particular are stupid. I think it’s that people in general are ignorant when it comes to propaganda (especially online) and how to participate in a democracy.

I was born in the United States and grew up here, and I used to be a lobbyist. If you have to blame somebody, there is nobody else to blame, but the people. That is the very definition of democracy.
