I’m a trans woman, and never heard a trans man’s perspective! I know several trans men in a relationship with women and I have noticed that behavior in them (toxic masculinity).
I figured that is because that’s what they think it means to be a man. Maybe most / many women do. Being a trans women I’m pretty sure most women dont understand men, (and I have my theories.)
I resonated with the experience of being a younger man, needing to check your confidence and impact..it took me a while to realize how much damage I could cause. And I was a relatively thoughtful and conciliatory one. It’s a hard lesson to learn how to use that new kind of power.
I had to learn the opposite, how to manage all the opportunities! And safety. But that was MUCH easier then learning the guy power thing. And more fun.
