I’m guessing he sensed your attitude about men in general. Men could easily write an article about how manipulative, shallow, clueless, and hurtful women are. Because many of them are - because many PEOPLE (male and female) are incorrigible assholes when it comes to dating. So it comes down to statistics on the % of each, and that is hard to measure.

I do agree that women have had it harder than men and are less safe. But this is biasing your attitude about men in general, and it shows.
