I’ve spent much time on the spiritual path. I found the experience is very much driven by the individuals running the sessions/events (eg Rabbi, Priest, Buddhist leader, etc) - how they behave and what they chose to focus on. It has a lot less to do with the specific religion.

I spent several months in Jerusalem and discovered the same thing. My most important takeaway from Jerusalem: There are two types of Jews:
1) Cool people
2) Arrogant Assholes

The same with Christians and Muslims

Everything else is subordinate to this.
