Online dating is a cesspool. Profiles have nothing to do with reality. You tell the truth about all the interesting aspects of yourself and it sounds too weird. You tone it down and it doesn’t stand out.
Then you put good effort in and get ignored, or the person flakes because they found something better, or you find out you’ve been chatting with a robot or a scammer.
If somebody answers with one word maybe it’s a robot, or maybe they’re exhausted from taking to robots or scammers or flakes, or they’re trying figure out if you’re robot.
Some people sound boring online but they’re fun and fascinating in real life. Maybe they sound fun and fascinating online but in real life they’re gross, obnoxious and boring.
Online has no bearing on reality and no bearing on your value as a person. Finding somebody online and getting them to respond to you has no bearing on your ability to have a relationship, it only means you have the skills and determination to connect with people in the online cesspool.
