People want to believe they have simple solutions to complex problems…they think, why can’t we just solve this with my simple view of things. I’m a hero because I gave a simple bottom line, they think. So they ignore the experts. I’ve had this happen to me so many times I’ve lost count (I’m a cybersecurity and green energy subject matter expert), and people will always try to oversimplify complex topics so they can look good (reducing cost and complexity) at the expense of any semblance of quality.
