People want to make a lot of money and there is one factor that eclipses the intelligence of all these smart tech people -delusion. We want so much to believe that tech is an innovative panacea, that we don’t see our actions, an investors and policy makers are not smart enough to understand this stuff and those who are smart enough are naturally marginalized, too complicated. Just look again at Theranos where the most interesting aspect is there was nobody on the board with medical experience… now why was that?
