It’s extremely difficult to become involved in politics because it’s almost (or perhaps fully) impossible to tell what the actual truths are. And I don’t know how or why, but this is one of many steel walls stopping public (like me) from participating, along with a total lack of effort from politician’s side to make it palatable. The steels walls are there, but we (speaking for myself) did not put them there. Over complication, constant lying, lack obvious path to affect meaningfully (voting feels like the after effect of decisions made by other people). And finally especially if you’re the moral upstanding of us preferring to spend our time on legitimate things interacting with legitimate people who do not shape shift or change their morals for money every day. Most of us I believe do not wish to see and feel the corruption underneath that drives everything, bribery, which the general public cannot participate in. The game is just not played fair between its participants. We’ll (the general public who cannot afford to play the bribery games) seek to play games that are fair that we have a chance to win in. And, surround ourselves with people who are not lying, cheating, manipulators.
