Spot on. I’ve known this was going on since I was a kid, but I thought I was the only person who felt this way. We can talk about it and encourage those who have a sense this is happening…to at least know they can trust their instincts. But the problem is we are otherwise preaching to the choir. If people don’t already know this is happening and they fall into the charade, they will never stop because to do so would be too psychologically painful for them…Ie to admit they were bamboozled.
