That rarely works simply because somebody (both men and women) is either physically attracted to you or not. Being honest and yourself will usually actually turn somebody off because most people form an impression of who they think you are by looking at you, and the vast majority of time, who you are on the inside does not match.

It’s very difficult to find somebody who is BOTH physically attracted to you and likes who you really are. Some people get lucky, other people if they want to date, they probably need to keep their mouth shut..although that will eventually fall apart, it if you’re lucky they’ll get to like you over time.
