That’s probably largely true. The problem is I don’t have any statistics on it. The common view of the most effective propaganda is that it contains small elements of the truth. Example, a small number of people being unreasonable. I’m saying that because I have personally met many trans people, who are not aware of just how obnoxious they can be. And every time somebody speaks up in an unreasonable way in a public form, they’re giving fodder to the Right. We just don’t have any stats on how common this is. So trans people need to be careful.

But at the end of the day, yes, the Right has already, decided to take their problems out on other people. So they believe anything, or simply make it up.
