The cause is “cyberbalkinization” - the Internet separating us into groups of echo chambers. Idea for extremists to take over. Applies even to Congress who used to eat meals together in the capital cafeteria. I suggested to many liberal friends that they should visit the Midwest to get to know those folks better. They ALL responded immediately with a “no way!…why would I want to hang out with them”
