The final straw for me was when my MBA alma mater Carnegie Mellon was so focused on fund raising from their alumni and talking about wine and nothing else that I couldn’t stand the stench of being around them or anybody contacting me from any university. That I was working on challenges in green energy and reached out to them for help, was the valedictorian, was involved in many projects at school that connected students with people in industry, and came back to the school to give lecture series was totally irrelevant.

They had absolutely zero institutional capability of helping anybody. They were a robotic institution programmed to replicate their shitty educational system.

I’m a big advocate for kids to goto community college and tell the University System to go fuck themselves and die. There are some exceptions like if they want to get involved in things like theoretical physics, immunology, professional sports, goto a top medical or law school…in which case they need to start their education by becoming aware of the sewage pit of money and power that will be accompanying them for the rest of their career.
