The fundamental problems are:
1) Our politicians are too stupid to know how to deal with this (a byproduct of our Democracy)
2) Our political and financial systems are incapable of allow us to recognize that we need to fund a “risk premium” to pay for our security (eg. Everything in a global supply chain is good until there is a huge war or other pressure).

If you add in our being under cyber attack via social media which distracts us with abortion, IVF, and having to deal with Trump, etc, we’re flailing and probably won’t be able to recover and autocracy will win
