The key question is how important is the network effect…seems pretty important on Social Media but not on News Sites. What are the profile of users and the impact to them if Twitter lost over 50% of its users or volume. For example:
1) Famous / well known - it’s a trivial cost, but would they bother. They announce things, they prob don’t interact that much. (Well most of them)
2) Average twit: probably the biggest hit. Many will bail because the number of people they interact with is just too small…spend that energy on another platform
3) News / Media sites paying for the feed from the big pipe. Maybe will stay, but might start to balk at the price
