The most honest thing I ever heard Tucker say was when he worked at CNN (I think it was CNN). He said he was able to see his ratings in real time. Whenever he talked about facts, real things, his ratings cratered, when he talked about nonsense and riled people up, the ratings shot up. He asked “what am I supposed to do about that?”

He seemed really pissed. So it’s no surprise that he sees an us vs them in everything instead of accepting that in 99% of cases when you see people pouncing on others, you don’t know what’s really going on, and shouldn’t pass any judgement until you get the facts, because it’s not about you. But that requires too much discipline for many people.
