The problem with the DNC is many don’t trust their intentions and motivations. Are they against Bernie because:

  1. He can’t win the election against Trump because he’s too far to the left
  2. He doesn’t suck up to the corporate sponsors who dominate the party’s behavior and a Bernie win would likely signal a turning point to more of the AOC’s and the Bernie’s who are more in alignment with the populace. And I could further break this worry down into two categories:
  • A) The old school politicians lose power and it affects their careers
  • B) Giving too much power to the people yields chaos driven by the disorganized idealisms of masses who don’t understand what is practical

#1 is a legitimate concern, even I’m concerned about it as a Bernie supporter. #2b is a legitimate concern too. However the lack of trust in the DNC and politicians is general leads me to believe their real motivation is #2A. It is sadly impossible in a public forum to engage in some kind of dialog about this, so many of us are left assuming that the DNC is worse than useless. Vs creating an environment where reasonable and respectful debate can occur to pick the right candidate (instead they appear like greedy, lying children).
