There is almost no relationship between how you appear online and who you are in person. This is a problem for dating, but less so if you’re doing something like collaborating with people to get something done that doesn’t require you to meet in person - and you always have the option for a Zoom call.
So the activities that require physical presence are particularly challenging in terms of differences in online vs in person (eg dating, playing live music, massage / therapy). The most pronounced challenge is dating, where there is so much BS out there, it’s practically useless unless you’re really good looking.
