Thx. What you’re talking about is an age old problem - populism . Whenever there is a weakness inside society, typically caused by “elites” - this is what happens and then a fascist / autocrat takes over.

But this is a known problem for any student of history.

But most people aren’t students of history, they rather watch reality TV shows .

The empathetic part of me sees they’re in pain. I understand why they are angry. I’ve tried to speak with them, I’ve tried to help them, I’ve tried to empathize with them, but every single one of them fights back. Without exception.

I used to be a lobbyist and I’ve seen first hand how fucked up our government is and how difficult it is to govern. But I’ve also seen how apathetic so many people are when it comes to engaging in issues based serious dialog.

I saw first hand how democracy has failed. And sometimes you just lose your patience and have to tell the truth. I put the responsibility squarely on the American people. Because there is nobody else to blame.
