Interesting perspective on AI, thanks . BTW: I wrote the AI policy for my $2B tech company. I didn’t specifically consider the impact on society, but instead what I did was, I thought carefully about what was realistic about what AI could do in terms of the quality of the products and services we provide, how it affects our customers, our competitive posture and long-term and short-term impacts. My thoughts were this is at least somewhat correlated with doing something that’s reasonable. A lot of problems are caused by people who are ignorant and don’t really think through what they’re doing, and a lot of people suffer, unnecessarily as a result.
