Too bad they don’t teach this in school. I learned to argue disrespectfully from my parents..I thought it was normal to think that everybody else is simply a dumbass.

I consciously wanted to not be like them because I knew how much it hurt. I was a better listener, but their vitriol was embedded so deep it took decades to disperse.
