True, and neither you nor I can change the fact that so many people are vacuous and blame other people on their problems (and this improves somewhat as people get older). This vacuous culture not only affects dating and relationships, but how people vote and who they support. And these are all related, we live in a culture that is predominantly vacuous, just like Rome. Probably explains the Fermi Paradox.
