True. I have my 10,000 hours on the piano. People ask me all the time advice on learning to play. I tell them first get a good piano not cheap electric one…it makes a huge difference. Nobody who asked me could afford to buy one and then have a place to put it. I was lucky, I had an awesome nice piano growing up, a room just for the piano, and the time to learn. And that was just getting started…I was also fortunate to take that piano off my parents hands and be able to have a place for it and the time to perform live as an adult regularly. It takes more than just practice, it takes obsession and dedication…I’m very lucky. But I also put in the work when the opportunity was available.
