And in my experience and based on what both thousands and thousands of men and women have told me (I’m in a unique position to hear this), a huge part of it is because both sexes will only date people who they considering to be very attractive on first glance. They are in denial about their own behavior and claim that ALL men or women are like this, and it just isn’t true.
