Where is the government (local, federal) on this? Ok on the take.
What about activists? This is a similar problem with the environment, education, and a wide host of other problems. Citizens don’t know how to organize and contribute to democracy. They don’t teach this in school, probably on purpose. We don’t want to totally eliminate AirBnb, we want to find the right balance. But that will require community engagement…to represent the impact on our society as a whole. The lobbyists, and by proxy, the politicians, will NEVER represent the interests of the people. Elections are only a small portion of democracy. When will our populace realize this?
