Which faith is most important?

What does faith mean? There are many definitions, for example:

  • Complete trust or confidence in something or someone
  • Belief without proof
  • Trust or confidence in a higher power, divine being, religion, god, etc.

MAGA Faith

Our right wing nut cases believe in “Faith”, but which one? Faith in God or Jesus? Well God or Jesus are just names and symbols. Once you peel off the facade, what do you get way too often?

Digital drug dealers using social media (and religion) to hide the propaganda being generated by Tech Billionaires, foreign leaders like Putin, Criminals & Con Artists, etc. They pander to people’s weaknesses, depression, and vanity. Some of these drug dealers know exactly what they’re doing (e.g. Putin). Whereas others have been using too much of their own product — Trump in love with his own image, Musk convinced that technology alone will solve all the worlds problems and he is THE smartest of all of them. Those who drink the Kool-Aid have one effective and toxic stew of drugs — because they are true believers. (e.g. Musk has crossed the Rubicon).

“God” and “Jesus” have been hijacked, and unfortunately many people are too ignorant, too engrossed in a cult, or too depressed and angry to see that they have essentially been given digital drugs. They have become addicts, and it’s hard to get off of it. And they don’t want their drugs taken away! In the 12-step program, the first step is admitting that you have a problem. And sadly, that often requires you to first realize that your life has become unmanageable. When will that happen?

You want an easily solution to your problems, I get it. We all do. But democracy takes work and accountability. Did you learn basic civics in school?

Faith in Democracy

How about faith in the constitution. Something real. Something powerful. Something that delivers results and has done so for 250 years. It’s not perfect, but if you travel overseas or have fought in a World War, you’ll be reminded just how screwed up so many places in the world are and how precarious our freedom is. Often it’s easier to fix and refine something than starting from scratch because the Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions.

Who are the people with real faith?
